Whopee! Israel: 'A Country That's Fun to Live In'
My response to Scott Wilson's Washington Post feature "Jerusalem Finding 'Oxygen' In Revival of Creative Arts," June 19
Another 'putting a good face on Israel story.'

Dear Editor:
Although Russian immigrant artists to Israel may be "oxygenated" by a revival of creative arts in Jerusalem, Palestinian Jerusalemites are left gasping for breath. According to the suppressed EU Report on East Jerusalem: "When the [separation] barrier is completed, Israel will control all access to East Jerusalem, cutting off its Palestinian satellite cities of Bethlehem and Ramallah, and the West Bank beyond." Not the makings for "a country that's fun to live in" or to breathe in for its non-Jewish inhabitants.
