Mother of Twin Martyrs: 'We Will Never Surrender'
Um Ibrahim woke early to get her younger children off to school before making her way to the cemetery, a copy of the Quran in hand. First, she sat next to two tombstones, side by side. The first was for her son Abdel Karim, who was killed in fighting with the Israelis. The second was for Abdel Karim's twin brother, Ibrahim. Next to these two tombstones was that of her mother-in-law and her husband's nephew who bears the same name of her incarcerated husband, Sheikh Bassam Saadi. Read more
